Surélever le lit des parents pour faire place à celui d’un nourrisson, voici le projet « Lignes Aériennes » des architectes canadiens Laurent McComber et Justin Duchesneau des Ateliers L. McComber.

« Lévitation. On aurait dit qu’il flotte, ce grand lit d’amoureux, au dessus d’une chambre de bébé. C’est une majestueuse raie de contreplaqué de sapin que dompte un sinueux tube d’acier structural. Ces petits cent cinquante pieds carrés sont, aux angles, doucement éclairés par un mur de rangement opalescent et par une brique lumineuse ».

About : Raising the parents’ bed to make room for their baby … « Levitation. The bed’s fir plywood slab follows the sinuous curves of its tubular steel structure, floating above the cradle. Illuminated by an opalescent storage wall and by neon light bouncing off bricks, the space thus created embodies lightness. »

Farm room par le studio hollandais Ontwerpduo.

About : Ontwerpduo was asked to design a room for two children, a boy (5) and a girl (7). Ontwerpduo decided to design a farm room without the animals. The animals can be added by the children themselves, by removable drawings at the walls, the doors and hatches. The room is split in two, with the option to open all the hatches in between, even the ones between the beds. The design, the making off and the result of the room was broadcasted by RTL4, in the program ‘Eigen huis en tuin’.
