Voici une sélection de pièces de mobilier et d’objets imaginés par le jeune designer américain Kevin Quale diplômé de la Road Island School of Design.
I am an industrial designer with an interest in home furnishings that have something special about them, whether that be a story, a beautiful detail, or just the fact that it’s exquisitely crafted. I love working with other people as well as by myself and I never miss a deadline.

Useful Object #1
The Useful Object Series is a collection of objects that have been designed with no specific function. Rather it is up to the user to decide what function it should serve in his or her daily life.
Object 1 is an exploration in linear elements. It is made of welded steel rod.
Useful Object #2
The pieces are slip cast porcelain and stoneware. Usefulness was explored by giving the form different openings and by experimenting with glazing.
Smocked Chair
This chair takes everything about an ordinary upholstered chair and mixes them up. From run away tufting buttons to miss matched fabric and a smocked side pillow, the details in this chair set it apart. I designed this chair to accommodate a number of sitting positions because everyone fidgets in chairs no matter how comfortable they are.
Useful Object #2
Object 2 is an exploration in planer elements. It is made out of a Doug Fir 4X4 that has been cut and drilled so that the user can arrange the painted slats and dowels in multiple configurations.
GO TALK! Cups
A set of six porcelain cups designed to encourage social interaction between strangers and friends at a cafe.
Puzzle Piece Candle Holders
These porcelain candle holders in the form of puzzle pieces can be linked in multiple configurations.
Modular Office Furniture
Designed for an office or school environment this simples system can transform a space into a school, lecture, work or meeting room by slotting the powder coated bent aluminum units together into different configurations. This product system is under contract for manufacture by Solidcore.
Ikea Meets Art Nouveau
At one angle this appears to be a plain table with simple design, but when the viewer moves, a more elaborate art nouveau table is revealed.
Embroidery Chair
By embroidering their unique design in this chair users can customize it to reflect their personalities. Allowing the user to participate in the design process allows them to develop a stronger connection with the chair that will last a long time. The chair is made out of bent laminated peg-board and packs flat for efficient shipping.
