Material: plastic, or steel, or wood.
About Julien Bergignat’s project : « This project started with a simple observation : the proximity of some technical way of production, attributed to different materials, sometimes seems to be the same. So I chose to work on the folding techniques. Nowadays it is well known folding sheets of steel, thermoformed plastic, and bend wood. The objective of this project is to proposed an object that can be realized in various materials, but with the same formal aspect. Pli is a lamp made in one piece of material, from a simple cut, and three folds. The wire passes through it, like stitch and can hold the bulb. A hole is made on the back of the lamp allowing user to mounted it on a wall. Pli offers a further reflection on eco-design, or how we can have an object that can adapt itself to various levels of production, and local expertise. The project remains the same, only material changes ! »
